BALI LIFE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 June 2026

Bali Life is built to be private by default. The app is completely free, with no ads inside it. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.

What we collect

Bali Life has no accounts and no login. We do not run our own servers and never receive your personal content. The only data practices are the two described below: location (to make the app work) and anonymous ad-attribution (only if you allow it).

Location

The app uses your device location only while you are using it, to:

Your location is processed on your device and sent to Google Maps Platform (Routes, Maps and Places APIs) solely to compute routes and return nearby places. It is never used to build a profile of you. See Google's terms and privacy policy.

Your saved places

The places you like, your To Do list, your ratings and your Memories are stored only on your device. Deleting the app removes them.

Advertising measurement (Meta)

We promote Bali Life with ads on Meta platforms (Facebook / Instagram). To measure whether those ads work, the app includes the Meta SDK. When you first use the app, iOS asks whether you allow tracking (App Tracking Transparency):

Either way, your location, saved places and routes are never shared with Meta, and there are no ads inside the app.

App integrity

We use Apple App Attest (via Firebase App Check) to verify requests come from a genuine copy of the app. This is a cryptographic device check; it does not identify you.

Notifications

If you allow them, the app schedules local reminders (for example, to rate a place after a visit, or a gentle nudge if you haven't opened the app in a few days). These are generated and delivered entirely on your device.

Children

Bali Life is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

We'll update this page if the app's data practices change.
